I belonged to girls 4-H for only 2 years. Loved to bake, but nothing else. In 1953 bought a herford steer, joining boys 4-H. 1955 Grand Champion steer of Montgomery County. Placed 3rd in weight class at state fair. Was a member of Junior Leaders for the two years while in boys 4-H.
