Building Leaders for the 21st Century Grants

Grants are available for current local 4-H clubs or units, adult 4-H volunteers, county Extension Educators, multi-county 4-H groups, 4-H districts, or 4-H state staff for new and innovative programs which help achieve the Foundation’s goals of: improving leadership development opportunities for teens and adult volunteers in 4-H; improving the quality and effectiveness of local 4-H clubs or units and reaching new audiences with 4-H programs.

Adult Leader Recognition

Leaders are recognized during State Fair 4-H Leader Recognition Day in August. Those recognized attend a luncheon and receive a gift for their tenured service ranging from 20 years to 50 years or more.

Bob Amick Award

This award is presented to an Extension youth educator with less than five years of service. The award was sponsored originally by W. Robert Amick, a member of the state 4-H staff at Purdue from 1928 to 1967. The Foundation has continued the award in his memory.

Indiana 4-H Youth Educators Successful Program Awards

Monetary awards are presented to educators for successful programs in volunteer training, fair activities, 4-H promotion, program development and teaching aids.
