Welcome to the Indiana 4-H Foundation!

The Indiana 4-H Foundation has awarded $31,000 in scholarships!  In all, twenty-eight scholarships were given to outstanding 4-H youth at the Indiana 4-H Congress, October 11, 2008 at the Holiday Inn Select, Indianapolis Airport.

The 4-H Scholarship program offers an incentive for 4-H members to stay involved in 4-H for ten years and encourages Indiana 4-Hers to finish their high school careers and pursue post-high school education – trade or technical school, college or university.  We hope that many of these young people will stay in Indiana…truly an investment in a “Bright Green Future” for these deserving youth.

In addition to the awards luncheon, the 4-H Congress provides a day of intensive leadership training for more than 200 4-H youth who may well be your future employees and certainly will be leaders in their communities.

Thanks to our sponsors for their support of Indiana 4-H Congress!

About this site

Welcome to the Indiana 4-H Foundation. We have proudly supported the Indiana 4-H program, led by the Purdue University Cooperative Extension Service, since 1961.

Use this site to reconnect with former 4-H friends, learn about 4-H programs statewide and how you can get involved. And join the Bright Green Team and help us build a Bright Green Future for 225,000 Hoosier kids who are proud to be 4-Hers!

We need your ideas, your involvement and your support to make the 4-H experience we all enjoyed a reality for today’s Indiana youth.

Welcome home! We hope you will visit us often.

"Through 4-H I have learned the rewards of volunteerism far outweigh the pain of the work. I want to continue volunteering and giving of myself throughout my life." - Amy Wenning

"The projects I have taken required a great deal of time and hard work. This has, in part, shaped the work ethic I have. It has taught me the value of doing something well." - Sarah Haase

Loan Programs available for College Juniors and Seniors

The Indiana 4-H Foundation has two loan programs available to 4-H alums that are currently juniors or seniors in Purdue University programs. The funds have been endowed in memory of Dr. Robert Amick, a career extension professional, and in honor of the Myers Family, a 4-H family of many generations. Applications are accepted at any time and repayment is delayed until after graduation. Apply today through either of these programs.
